- I hardly never paint with a brush.

Susanne Thulin's paintings can be summarized as organized disorder with much feeling and balance. She is the artist who strives to find depth and harmony and let the non-figurative motifs open the eyes and the imagination of the viewer.

This is what Susanne says about her own paintings and why she does not put any title to her works.

- I find my way of painting so exciting for myself and hopefully for the viewer. It is up to the viewer to see what to see and feel. This is also a reason why I do not put any title on my paintings. But if you want a title, I suggest – Imagine, says Susanne.

In stead of using an artist brush, Susanne use different other material to get the effects that she wants. This makes her more flexible.

She has also chosen to not frame her paintings, leaving instead a small space at the edges of the painting. I do not want my work to be affected by frames, continues Susanne.

Susanne lives both in Stockholm and at Fårö. It is mainly at Fårö she finds inspiration for her paintings.
